Tests for Independent Schools:
SSAT and ISEE
While not quite as familiar as the SAT or ACT, which have been rites of passage for aspiring college students for decades, the SSAT and ISEE exams serve as part of the application process for many independent middle and high schools around the country. In much the same way as the SAT and ACT, both the SSAT and ISEE test a variety of skills in math, reading, writing, critical thinking, and logical reasoning. As with other standardized tests, the best way to approach each of these exams is through a combination of concept review, strategy, and practice.
