Test Prep and Tutoring Rates
Test Prep (including SAT/ACT/SSAT/ISEE/GRE/GMAT and more):
$140/hr online $160/hr in-person
Subject Tutoring
$110/hr online $120/hr in-person
Academic Writing, Application Advising, and Research/Professional Mentorship Rates
$160/hr online $175/hr in-person*
*This rate tier covers most requests for undergraduate and graduate level application assistance, personal statement advising, and high-level research advising/mentorship at the graduate or professional level. Certain requests, such as proposal writing assistance or specialized tutoring requests (e.g. archaeology, GIS), may fall outside of this range, in which the quote will be based on the specific project.

Payment must be received at least 24 hours in advance of a session in order to secure the time slot. Otherwise, the session will be canceled and we will reschedule. I will always offer an initial consultation, at no cost, to help ensure that the match is right.

While I try to be as flexible as possible, I do require at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule a session; otherwise, you will be charged for that session. I will do my best to reconfirm all sessions prior to meeting, either by phone or email

Refunds cannot be issued for hours already used (that’s one purpose of the free consultation). If you have purchased a single session, you may receive a full refund if you cancel at least 24 hours in advance. For package deals, refunds can be issued for any unused hours on a prorated basis, with the already-used hours assessed at the base rate. For example, if you purchase 10 hours of online SAT tutoring (base rate of $120/hr - 10% discount), your total cost would be $1080. If you only use 5 hours, you would be entitled to a refund of 1080 - 600 = $480.
Policies
All posted rates are per-hour (except for small-group online classes), and sessions typically range from 1-2 hours, depending on your needs and schedule. Sessions may be purchased individually at the rates posted below, or you may opt to purchase a package of hours in advance at a discounted rate (details below). I’m always happy to provide an initial consultation, at no cost, to give us a chance to discuss the most effective approach for your academic needs.
